The online version of the Miners of the Little Cities Registry is available as a spreadsheet and will open when you click here.
The Miners of Little Cities Registry is an attempt to gather the names of all people in the Little Cities area who have worked in coal mines. The first edition of the Miners of the Little Cities Registry was released in October 2008. Over 6,000 names have been entered into the registry. Over 400 of the names came from registration forms submitted by citizens since the initiation of the project. The balance are from research conducted by LCBD Council historian Cheryl Blosser.

Good day, I have several relatives that worked in the mines which I could not find on your registry.
My grandfather, great grandfather & uncles all lived/worked near York Township, Nelsonville, Ohio. The information that they worked in the mines were found on 1880-1900-1910-1920 Census’s. Their jobs were listed as “fillers”, “weighs coal” & “laborers”.

Hello, I’ve found another relative who was a miner. I’ve also found his death document which states he died from a “boiler explosion”. I wondered if it was at one of the mines. His name is Charles or CHARLIE Kettell or KETTLES, that was the name listed on his tombstone. Do you have any documentation regarding this incident?
